| We took this photograph of Izzy in front of our Christmas tree on Christmas Eve 2006.
Izzy came to us as a foster dog on the 15th December 2006 and was re-homed to a couple with two other dogs, a couple of cats and some chickens in north Cumbria on the 27th December 2006.
Izzy is a brindle Greyhound bitch who was born on the 16th November 1997. Originally from the Yorkshire area she went from a rescue centre to her new home where for six years she'd been living until her owner became ill and sadly died. During her owner's illness she had been living in kennels for about six weeks until the Executor of her owner's Will brought her to us asking if we could foster her and find her a new home. Izzy, when she came to us weighed 55lbs (25k), was house trained, inoculated, spayed, walked nicely on the lead, got on well with other dogs and has a lovely sweet nature, so much so that when she went to her new home in north Cumbria at the end of December 2006 she fell in love with the cats and sits in the sunshine in the paddock amongst the chickens watching the world go by - what a little sweetie! |
